Jada - My Business Partner

Published by Gabe, Amber, Jada and Micah Carter under on 12:21 PM
Daddy helped Jada set up her little work station in our office this weekend! Here she is processing some bookkeeping for Mommy. :-)

I have recently resigned from Social Security to stay home with Jada. I have started a bookkeeping business - Carter Billing Services, LLC & currently have 2 wonderful clients. I work at home while she's napping. I am so thankful for the opportunity to stay home with my baby and work doing something I love doing. I'm one of those weird people that actually enjoys paperwork and business & tax law. :-) I'm staying busy taking care of Jada full-time & doing bookkeeping part-time. I'm so blessed; God never ceases to amaze me with His awesome plans for my life.

If you know of anyone who needs any help with business paperwork, starting up a business, Accounts Payable, or Accounts Receivable, just send them my way!

Bathtime Fun

Published by Gabe, Amber, Jada and Micah Carter under on 7:26 PM

This is Jada in her little bathtub. Bathtime is a warm, relaxing time for her (if you remember a previous post, you know it hasn't always been this way!). What a big, full tummy she has!

Mommy & Jada were goofing off a little before bathtime...

Full of Joy

Published by Gabe, Amber, Jada and Micah Carter under on 4:37 PM
Jada is a bundle of joy. She is such a reminder to me that God is so good and we have so many reasons to be thankful for everything He's blessed us with. She wakes up smiling, talking and so ready to start each new day with a fun, energetic, & positive outlook. Do I wake up every morning with that attitude? Why not? I can learn so much from her.

Jada's New Bouncy Seat & a Playdate with David

Published by Gabe, Amber, Jada and Micah Carter under on 10:11 AM
Jada has a new bouncy seat. She loves to bounce and kick and even turn on the vibration and sounds with her feet. Here's Daddy and Jada talking to each other followed by Jada taking a nap in her new chair.

Jada & I visited Becky & David yesterday. Here's Jada & David hanging out together. They met each other when Jada was only 10 days old (David was 1 month old).

Jada visits Toby

Published by Gabe, Amber, Jada and Micah Carter under on 9:08 PM

Jada went to Toby's house today. They're good friends. Toby shared his toys with her today & even let her use his old bouncy seat. She loved it (I think Mommy may take a trip to Target & pick up one of those soon!).

Toby actually used to pat my tummy when I was pregnant to say "hi" to Jada. Karly & I would point to my big tummy and say "baby!" then he would pat my tummy. He's still pretty interested in her & she seems to do pretty well with him too.

Notice they both have something in their mouths. Ha ha. Jada was apparently bored with only one fist in her mouth & decided to try both at the same time. When she sets a goal for herself, she doesn't give up until it's accomplished. That's my girl! :-)

Playing & Running with Mommy

Published by Gabe, Amber, Jada and Micah Carter under on 8:20 PM

Here's a cute picture of Jada hanging out in her Bumbo chair. She likes to sit in her chair while Daddy & I eat dinner. That way we all eat dinner as a family. :-)

Jada just started playing with her activity mat. She actually kicks the little inflatable ball and likes looking at the brightly colored hanging fish. Her little legs are so strong; we're so proud of our future soccer player.

So I recently decided to start running again. Jada prefers when I run instead of walk (she starts fussing when I start walking) so it gives me good motivation to keep going and get in shape! We're having a great time with her stroller. I love the carseat attachment that we have; that way she can go for runs with me & face me. She give me big smiles when we're running. :-)

"Ogg-ee" & "Ng-gah"

Published by Gabe, Amber, Jada and Micah Carter under on 8:52 AM

"Ogg-ee" & "Ng-gah" are Jada's two favorite sounds to make. She is quite the little talker these days. She loves having one-on-one conversations especially while she's laying on her changing table after she has a new clean diaper or outfit on. It's like she's saying "thanks for changing my diaper, Mommy. I feel a lot better now. Maybe we should go to coffee". :-)

This is Jada & Daddy taking a nap together this past weekend.

I love this next picture because this is a classic Jada expression. She woke up from sleeping in her car seat and had somehow slid down to the bottom. When I came in her room to get her in the morning, this is how she looked. I call this face "uh, Mommy, this is a little uncomfortable and since I can't move myself back up... Do you mind?".

Here, she's taking a nap laying in her crib. What a cutie!

Okay, one more picture. She wasn't really happy here, but she looks like such a big girl with a hood on.

Our Happy Girl

Published by Gabe, Amber, Jada and Micah Carter under on 4:21 PM

Yeah, so it's a little posed, but isn't she adorable? I saw this shirt when I was 19 weeks pregnant (one week after we found out we were having a little girl) & just had to get it for my little Jada. She is just amazing; we are so blessed with our happy girl.

My Bumbo Chair

Published by Gabe, Amber, Jada and Micah Carter under on 11:24 AM
This is the first time Jada has tried out her Bumbo chair. Looks like she enjoys it! I think she feels like a big girl when she's sitting up by herself. She is growing up so fast!

Mmm... My Hand!

Published by Gabe, Amber, Jada and Micah Carter under on 7:16 PM
Jada has discovered her hand. She doesn't suck her thumb, but she does suck on her fist. She's so cute. Even when she's just in her bouncy chair while we're eating dinner, I just miss her and have to pick her up afterwards.

Just how can holding her hands up while sleeping be comfortable? Ha ha. What a cutie.

Our little soldier

Published by Gabe, Amber, Jada and Micah Carter under on 1:47 PM

I think Jada actually likes to be held this way best because she can move her legs & see Mommy at the same time! She's been such a happy girl today! Her tummy's been feeling better and she hasn't been spitting up quite as much.

She has been sitting in her little chair today focusing really hard on her "marching". She kicks and punches alternate sides in a little rhythm making little "umph umph umph" noises. She concentrates so hard, it's so cute! Well, I'm off to go play with our little soldier! :-)

So pretty

Published by Gabe, Amber, Jada and Micah Carter under on 4:11 PM

Just relaxing in the vibrating bouncy chair... Jada has loved this chair recently. She just loves kicking away (sometimes 45 min. at a time!) and talking in her little chair!

Speaking of kicking, she's starting to grow out of the "newborn hold" in the Moby. She preferred to be held like this on our walk today so that she could move her legs.

She looks so comfortable in her cute heart outfit. Thank you, Aunt Annie, for giving this adorable outfit to her. Mommy really loves it because it has a zipper, which is much easier than a ton of snaps. :-)
